Scream With Me:
The Relation Between Music, and Romeo and Juliet.
(TS) Have you ever thought about how meaningful a song can be? (C) If you haven't, this essay sure will show you. (C) Songs can even relate to books, and your own life. (CS) Songs can describe how people feel; weather it is a bad feeling, or a good one, it can relate to you.
(TS) The song Scream With Me by Mudvayne states, "A body full of empty, a head that's full of rage, better believe it." (SD) These lyrics are simple, but extremely powerful to me. (C) This line makes me think of a person who has felt so much pain, that their mind is barren, (Thesaurus Word) and the only thing that they have left to feel is rage. (C) When the singer says, "Better believe it," I think about how there are really people out there who have felt this kind of pain: pain that has left such a scar that it has drained them of their feelings, and made their mind desolate. (Appositive) (SD) I especially like this song because the singer must have really felt these feelings before to write this. (C) This means that he must have really put his spirit into this song. (C) It is very admirable that the singer has felt this much pain, and has gotten his life back on track after. (CS) This song is one of my favorites because it is very powerful, and it explains feelings that every person may have in their life.
(TS) This song directly relates to the play, Romeo and Juliet. (SD) The character Romeo is a lot like the person in the song. (C) In the beginning of the play, Romeo is found crying outside early in the morning, and whenever he's not outside crying, he's locked up in his room lamenting (Thesaurus Word) all day. (C) This is all because he is in love with somebody who does not love him back. (SD) Also, the two families in this book perfectly represent, "A head that's full of rage." (C) The families are both so dead-set on hating each other that they do not realize how much Romeo and Juliet care about each other. (C) This also reflects the, "Better believe it," because this proves that this sort of thing can happen. (CS) The song "Scream with me" by Mudvayne has so many relations to Romeo and Juliet, that it seems like this song could have been made because of this book.
(TS) "Scream with me" is an extremely emotional, deep song. (C) The song has a lot of feeling in it, and tells about a story about someone who has experienced a large amount of pain. (C) The character Romeo from Romeo and Juliet fits perfectly with this song, as he suffers from Cupid's merciless shot. (CS) This song has an immaculate (Thesaurus Word) relation to life.
Self Assessment:
I think that this could be one of my best essays. I particularly like my first body paragraph, and my third sentence in the closing. I am proud of the way I describe Romeo being in love with somebody that does not love him back. Although I really like this sentence, I am not sure if everybody will be able to pick up what I meant.
