Family

(TS) Families are extremely import in life. (C) The family in the book To Kill a Mockingbird seems very normal, but has its quarrels, as every family does. (C) My family, on the other hand, seems strange; barely anything we do sounds normal to my ears. (CS) Although these two families sound like total opposites, they actually have a lot in common.

(TS) There are so some traits about my family that I don't necessarily like, but almost all of these qualities are admirable (Bell Word). (SD) One of these taxing, tough traits ( Alliteration) consists of my family meeting on certain holidays. (C) This is very tricky to do because it is not easy to get most of my family in the same place at once. (C) Getting my family together may not be an easy thing to do, but in the end it is respectable (Bell Word) task to achieve. (SD) A trait that my dad shares with my family is to always find a way to compromise. (C) Weather my parents are having an argument with me, weather my friends and I are having an argument, weather my parents are having an argument with their parents, my dad can always find room for a compromise. (Parallelism) (SD) The trait that my mom shares with my family is something that I adore (Bell Word). (C) No matter what the occasion is, she has the ability to make me laugh. (C) This is an extremely good quality because even if something bad has happened, she can make me smile. (CS) All of these manners of my family are amiable (Apt Thesaurus Word), and I really respect my family for sharing them with me.

(TS) Although I think my family can be strange at times, I think that my family has a lot in common (Bell Word) with To Kill a Mockingbird. (SD) Two people who are have a strong relation (Apt Thesaurus Word) (Bell Word) between these two families are my dad, and Atticus. (C) As I stated earlier, my dad always finds a way to make room for compromise, no matter what the dispute is, and no matter who the people who are having this battle are. (Loose Sentence) (C) The character Atticus also shares this trait (Bell word), as he always stops Jem and Scout from fighting. (SD) I also believe that there is a similarity (Bell Word) between my mom, and Scout. (C) They are both full of energy, and, in addition, they can be very humorous at times. (C) Plus, they can be extremely serious if they need to be. (CS) My family and the family from To Kill a Mockingbird have a lot alike (Bell Word) after you put some thought into it.

(TS) As you can see, my family does a lot of things that are difficult, but they are all respectable. (C) My family also has many similarities to To Kill a Mockingbird; most of which are very easy to see. (C) Also, none of these traits are bad, which I am extremely grateful about. (CS) I am very lucky to have the family that I have.

  1. Ryan,
I really like these two paragraphs. One thing i would change though is your closing sentences. They sum up your paragraph, but i think you could make them a little stronger. Good work!

  2. Ryan,

I love the thesaurus words you used. Some of your sentenes have words in them that could be changed, though. Your last sentence of your second body paragraph sais "have a lot alike". Instead you could say "have a lot in common.

    keep up the good work
