Privacy
(TS) Have you ever realized how important it is to have your privacy? (C) If you haven’t, you sure will. (C) Having privacy gives you time to do almost anything: think, relax, or just chill. (TS) Having your privacy is crucial in life.
(TS) Privacy is a huge part of everybody’s life. (SD) Up to chapter five in To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus seems to believe that privacy is a big deal. (C) I agree with Atticus, someone who can get time to them selves, can not have many issues with goals, and their priorities. (Antithesis) (C) I feel that Atticus finds privacy is such a big idea because I think that he was mad when he found Scout and Jem trying to give Boo Radley their note. (SD) Scout does not understand how important privacy is. (C) Scout is still pretty young, so she hasn’t needed to set many goals yet. (C) Although I am still not very old, I have had to set goals, along with shifting my priorities, which means that there is a lot more of it later in life. (SD) In addition, I think that Boo feels strongly about privacy. (C) He keeps to himself a lot. (C) Plus, I don’t think the kids have even seen Boo many times, if they ever have! (CS) Atticus, Scout, and Boo all show different ways that privacy is presented, weather it is shown through a lack of knowing the importance of privacy, to feeling so strongly about privacy that taking away somebody’s privacy has consequences.
(TS) Privacy, being very important in life, matters to people. (Appositive) (SD) If I did not have privacy, I would not have time to sit down, and just think. (C) Also, if I could not have time alone, I would not be able to get things done, such as homework. (C) Plus, being alone gives you time to think about setting goals, and achieving them. (SD) Infringing on someone else’s privacy can be not only hurtful, but unethical. (C) If you invade somebody else’s privacy, it will most likely be found impolite. (C) In addition, the person whose privacy you invaded might find you untrustworthy. (SD) Many people keep diaries to write about their private thoughts and feelings. (C) These diaries are a part of a person that usually are not shown to anyone else. (C) People use diaries as a way to escape from their daily lives and to reflect on how they may feel about very sensitive topics including problems with friends, teachers, or other relationships in their lives. (CS) Weather you like being private or not, it is necessary to take time away from people, sit back, and just think.
(TS) So far, I have shown how privacy is shown through the book, To Kill a Mockingbird, and how it is shown in life. (C) Atticus feels so strongly about Boo Radley’s privacy that he forbade the kids from trying to get him to come outside. (C) Also, I have shown that invading somebody’s privacy can be found untrustworthy. (CS) Having privacy, and making sure you don’t invade somebody else’s privacy are simple, important things in life.

Ryan, in this sentence -- "Privacy, being very important in life, matters to people. (Appositive)-- you use a participle instead of an appositive. An appositive is a noun that describes or explains a noun that comes before it. If you revised it to this -- "Privacy, a very important aspect of life, matters to people" -- it would be an appositive, because the noun "aspect" describes or explains the noun "privacy". I hope you see what I mean.
ReplyDeleteAlso, watch for little mistakes. I see quite a few.
GOOD LUCK!
Ryan-
ReplyDeleteYou're ideas of privacy reflect exactly what mine are saying. You are saying privacy in almost every sentence though, and it started to be a little repetitive; try using substitutes like "personal space" or "alone time". Mr. Salsich also suggested to me to not use phrases such as "I feel" or "I believe", because these are unnecessary words.
I too see alot of little mistakes!
-great job
