Company

(TS) Have you ever realized how big of an impression you can make on somebody just by being polite to them if they are company? (C) If you haven’t, you sure will learn how much of an impression you can make in this essay. (C) Also, this essay will describe how important it is to learn to be nice to company while you’re young, so you don’t make mistakes, much like Scout does, which I will describe in the next paragraph. (CS) Being polite, even knowing to be polite, are things you have to know how to do.
(TS) In chapter three in To Kill a Mockingbird, Scout has company. (SD) She doesn’t understand that her company, Walter, tried to get the most out of his meal; he did this by pouring syrup all over his plate, “Walter poured syrup on his vegetables and meat with a generous hand.”(Page 32, TKAM). (C) As soon as Scout sees this, she automatically asked him why he would do that to his perfectly good plate. (C) Right after this happened; she got into an argument with Atticus. (SD) Cal takes Scout into the kitchen to lecture her on how that was not a polite thing to do when there is company. (C) Cal, of course, was very upset. (C) She then warned Scout never to do that again. (SD) As if it couldn’t be worse, Walter was very grateful about Scout and her family giving him a meal; this must have made her look very bad. (C) Walter is poor, and he rarely receives a meal like this, if he ever does! (C) Walter seams very nice, so far, and Scout, being very aggravated with him, must have worsened his meal. (CS) Being polite to company is very important, if you are not polite to company, arguments may start, which can spoil any good meal.
(TS) All of us, at some point, have had people come to our house and do unexpected things, no matter what these things may be, you have to always be polite! (SD) As a child, many people learn to be nice to company. (C) This is obviously needed just in case somebody comes over to visit, and the child is acting rude, or not being polite. (C) This might not be the case for some people, but I know that this has happened to me as a child. (SD) My parents have company over a lot at my house; some include relatives, or just friends and neighbors. (C) If I did not know to treat them nice as a child, there would have been consequences. (C) Even though some of my parents’ friends aren’t my favorite people to be with, I still have to be kind, and polite to them. (CS) If you have company, you need to be polite to them, no matter what.
(TS) No matter what happens, always be polite to guests, even if they start doing something that you might find crazy, like pouring syrup all over their food. (C) Even if the company is unexpected, you are expected to be a good host! (C) Being a bad host may come with consequences; from getting a long monologue to getting smacked. (CS) When it comes to being polite, knowing to be polite is half of the battle
