Atticus' Thoughts on Education

SD: Atticus wants Scout to continue going to school
CM: He told Scout that they can continue reading
CM: I think that he wants her to get what he didn’t get
SD: Atticus didn’t want Scout to tell the teacher that they read together
CM: The teacher might get mad at Atticus, which might make her not give Scout as much attention
CM: The teacher might just not give Scout an education at all because she claims that she already knows everything
SD: Atticus did not go to school
CM: He might have realized that going to school would have opened up a lot of good opportunities for him
CM: Even though he’s doing fine, he wants Scout to get the most she can get
